AXIS Q1971-E Thermal Camera

The AXIS Q1971-E is a robust thermal network camera designed for reliable perimeter protection and surveillance in all lighting and weather conditions. Using a 384 × 288 uncooled microbolometer sensor, it detects people and vehicles even in complete darkness, smoke, fog, or low-contrast environments, making it ideal for critical security applications. Available with five lens options (7 mm, 13 mm, 19 mm, 25 mm, and 35 mm), the camera allows flexible deployment with optimized detection distances for different sites. Built on the ARTPEC-8 platform with a deep learning processing unit, it supports advanced analytics such as motion detection, fence guard, loitering guard, tampering alarms, and AXIS Perimeter Defender for enhanced intrusion detection. The camera supports H.264, H.265, and Motion JPEG streaming with Axis Zipstream technology to reduce bandwidth and storage usage. It also enables audio integration and external device connection through edge-to-edge technology, allowing speakers or alarms to trigger automated responses. Designed for harsh environments, the AXIS Q1971-E features a compact, halogen-free housing rated IP66, IP67, IK10, and NEMA 4X, operating reliably from -40 °C to 60 °C. Built-in Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity with secure boot, TPM 2.0, and encrypted storage protects the device and ensures secure video surveillance.
