AXIS Q1972-E Thermal Camera

The AXIS Q1972-E is a high-resolution thermal network camera designed for reliable 24/7 detection in perimeter security and critical surveillance environments. It features a 640 × 480 uncooled microbolometer sensor that delivers clear thermal imaging and accurate detection in complete darkness, smoke, fog, and challenging weather conditions. Available with 10 mm, 19 mm, 25 mm, and 35 mm lens options, the camera provides flexible deployment with optimized detection ranges for different security applications. Built on the ARTPEC-8 platform with a deep learning processing unit, it supports advanced analytics such as AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard, AXIS Loitering Guard, and additional AI-based analytics through AXIS Perimeter Defender and third-party applications. The camera supports H.264, H.265, and Motion JPEG streaming with Axis Zipstream technology to reduce bandwidth and storage usage while maintaining critical image details. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) ensures smooth video even in vibration-prone environments. Designed for demanding installations, the AXIS Q1972-E features a compact halogen-free housing rated IP66, IP67, IK10, and NEMA 4X, and operates in temperatures from -40 °C to 60 °C. Built-in Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity with TPM 2.0 (FIPS 140-2 Level 2) provides secure device identity, encrypted storage, and protection against unauthorized access.
