Digi TX64 5G Rail is a high-performance cellular router designed for railway and metro environments. It provides 5G connectivity with fallback to 4G LTE-Advanced Pro and 3G, ensuring reliable communication for onboard systems and passenger services. The router supports enterprise-grade routing, firewall, and VPN capabilities, and is centrally managed through Digi Remote Manager as part of the Digi 360 solution. The device includes dual Wi-Fi 6 for both backhaul and passenger access, a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with M12 connectors, USB ports, serial connectivity, Bluetooth, and GNSS with Untethered Dead Reckoning for accurate positioning even in tunnels or poor signal conditions. It supports multiple global cellular bands and dual SIM slots for redundancy. Advanced features such as Digi WAN Bonding and Digi Mobile VPN ensure resilient connectivity and secure communication. Digi TX64 5G Rail is built for harsh environments with an IP66-rated aluminum enclosure and operates in temperatures from −40 °C to 74 °C. It supports FirstNet for emergency communications and complies with FIPS 140-2 cybersecurity standards. Built-in security features include secure boot, encrypted communication, firewall protection, and Digi TrustFence for device and data security. The router also includes 2 GB RAM, 8 GB flash storage, and can be remotely managed, monitored, and updated through cloud-based tools.
